Universal Design, Aging in Place

Thru the Buyer's Eyes has experience with incorporating elements of universal design which essentially allow aging adults a good quality of life in their own home. The goal is to simplify and not struggle with everyday tasks by concentrating on better accessibility.

Examples include step-free entrances, wider doorways and hallways, positioning light switches and thermostats at easier to reach levels, situating a microwave in a kitchen island instead of over the range, lowering the dining bar on an island to accommodate chairs or a wheelchair, walk-in showers with benches, grab bars and hand-held spray nozzles. And all this can be done in a very aesthetically pleasing and stylish manner.
